Door Hanger Signs
Why does the transparent background matter?
Because a door hanger is cut to its own shape, not to a rectangle. Exporting as a PNG with a transparent background means you can print it and cut along its edge, or place it over any other background.
What can you design?
Newborn door hangers carrying the baby's name
Ramadan hangers with lanterns and crescents
Children's room signs with their names
Signs for occasions and celebrations
Welcome signs for guests
What can you print it on?
Export at high resolution in sizes suited to printing on card or wood. Edit the text, colours and ornament before exporting.
الأسئلة الشائعة
What are door hangers used for?
For congratulations, such as a birthday hanger or a sign marking a bride in the house, for children's rooms with phrases like nap time or I am playing, for asking not to be disturbed while working or studying, and for decorating a newborn's door. Andalusi has door hanger templates at the usual print size.
What size suits a door hanger?
The usual size is around ten centimetres wide by twenty five tall, with a circular opening at the top about four centimetres across for the handle. Leave enough space between the opening and the first line of text, and print on card so it survives repeated hanging. Andalusi's template has the opening and size already set.
What design suits a door hanger?
One short phrase set large enough to read from the corridor rather than only up close, one simple illustration, and two colours. Children's rooms suit light colours and friendly drawings, while occasions suit gold and white. Design both faces if you want two different messages. Andalusi builds both faces from the same design.
Does a door hanger work as a gift or part of an occasion?
Yes, and it is among the most used small gifts at children's parties and baby showers, handed out with each child's name on it. It also serves as house decoration at weddings and holidays. Print a batch with different names by changing only the text. Save the template in Andalusi and repeat it across names.
