Add light effects to your designs: light bursts and shining stars on transparent backgrounds you place over an element to suggest shine and sparkle.
Start designingWhere exactly should a sparkle go?
On the element's reflective edge, not its centre: the rim of a ring, the corner of glass, the edge of a gold letter. Light reflects off edges in reality, and placing it dead centre gives away that it was added.
What can you design with them?
Shine on jewellery and products
Glow around gold lettering
Effects on occasion photos
Night and festive backgrounds
Magical touches in children's designs
How many sparkles can a design take?
Three at most, at different sizes: one large and two small. Equal sizes read as a repeated pattern rather than light, and the variation is what suggests the light is real.
