Add ribbons and gift bows to your work: ties, bows and decorated bands on transparent backgrounds for cards, promotions and gift wrapping.
Start designingWhere does a ribbon actually work in a layout?
A ribbon is a connector, not decoration: it ties the top of a card to the bottom, or wraps a heading to separate it from what surrounds it. Run it horizontally behind the title, or diagonally across a corner as if it wraps the page.
What can you design with them?
Bows and ties for gifts and cards
Title bands and promotion banners
Corner and edge decoration
Occasion and celebration designs
Shop adverts and price signage
How do you make a ribbon read as real rather than pasted on?
Match the ribbon's shadow to the light direction in the rest of the design, and tuck its ends behind a card edge or another element. A ribbon floating mid-space with both ends fully visible reads as a cut-out sticker.
